By special arrangement only, we can provide further accommodation for up to two additional adults travelling in the same group

Clay Hall House is no ordinary B&B. It's quirky and individual and we've made the most of the original 16th-century features while ensuring the maximum amount of comfort for our guests

Guests will enjoy exclusive use of a beamed Snug lounge with Inglenook fireplace and TV and, in warmer months, a light and airy Orangery and courtyard garden

Your exclusive suite in The East Wing has a super-comfortable king-size double bed and leaded light windows. Fluffy cotton towels and bathrobes, fine teas and coffees. Large, modern, private en suite bathroom with traditional roll-top bath and walk-in shower. Makes a beautifully romantic and very private bridal suite. We also offer a fabulous and unique wedding car service

Our acclaimed breakfasts use best quality locally sourced ingredients and, when possible, eggs from our own hens. All cooked in a 5 star hygiene-rated kitchen on a traditional Aga stove.
Full range of Continental breakfast options. We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free diets


When we say 'locally sourced' we really mean it!  Ginger, Greta and the rest of our resident brood provide delicious eggs for our home-cooked breakfasts

We had a wonderful time in the charming company of Angela, Simon and of course Grace the gentle house dog. The house is warm, inviting and with lots of character.
